About Sorig Khang Int.

The Inter­na­tion­al Acad­e­my for Tra­di­tion­al Tibetan Med­i­cine (IATTM) was estab­lished in 2006 in order to ensure the integri­ty and authen­tic­i­ty of Tra­di­tion­al Tibetan Med­i­cine teach­ings and to pro­mote the con­ti­nu­ity of prac­tice of Tra­di­tion­al Tibetan Med­i­cine (TTM).

Sorig Khang Inter­na­tion­al (SKI) is the offi­cial suc­ces­sion organ­i­sa­tion of the IATTM and has been estab­lished dur­ing the 4th inter­na­tion­al Con­gress of Sowa Rig­pa in April 2016 in Tallin, Esto­nia. The aim of this non-prof­it organ­i­sa­tion is to facil­i­tate the spread­ing of Tibetan Medicine/ Sowa Rig­pa teach­ings world­wide. Today SKI oper­ates offi­cial­ly in over 40 coun­tries with the head­quar­ter in Ger­many.

Since the cre­ation of the IATTM in 2006 and lat­er SKI in 2016, local region­al branch­es have been devel­oped with the aim of real­is­ing the vision of SKI: pro­vid­ing cours­es on Tibetan Med­i­cine, edu­ca­tion­al mate­ri­als, pub­li­ca­tions and fur­ther sup­port­ing med­ical aid as well as edu­ca­tion­al projects for those in need, i.e. after nat­ur­al dis­as­ters or with­out reg­u­lar access to health infra­struc­tures. The region­al branch­es fall under the coor­di­na­tion of SKI.
