It has been an exciting time for me since our last release. Me and many other Sorig students and practitioners got the opportunity to participate in this year’s Sorig Tours to Amdo in East Tibet as well as in and around Lhasa . What an amazing chance to get in deeper touch with the Tibetan culture and to learn more about Sowa Rigpa! Under the kind guidance of Dr. Nida Chenagtsang, Dr. Machik and Dr. Wako as well as Drukmo Gyal and her diligent team we were able to explore the hearts and minds of the Tibetan people and the vast lands and mountains where this fascinating medical system thrived and spread around the globe.
Since then I am travelling through central Asia and visited many (sometimes quite remote) places connected to Sowa Rigpa like the pure lands of Maratika in Nepal or the Sowa Rigpa International College (SRIC) in Kathmandu. Thus I was often occupied or off the grid which made it difficult to work on the Sorig Newsletter as well as other projects which require a lot of time and stable Internet connectivity. So I apologize for this year which will only contain 3 publications of the Sorig News. I hope that our exciting topics will compensate the cut.
On behalf of Sorig Khang I wish you a very merry Christmas, a Happy New Year and Losar Festival of the Eart-Dog year 2018!
With Best Wishes in the name of the Editorial Board,
Philipp Fuchs, MD
