News from Sowa Rigpa International College, September 2017

Official Sowa Rigpa International college News, July to September, 2017:

The Sowa Rigpa International College (SRIC) in Kathmandu celebrated the Opening Ceremony on 1st August, 2017 for the new Academic year taking place from August 2017 until July 2018.

The College First Founding Anniversary was held on 20th August, 2017. We invited the Education- and the Health ministers of Nepal as a chief guests.

Students of SRIC arranged an Exhibition on Sowa Rigpa Medicine:

Presently there are 35 students, out of which 5 come from abroad and the remaining 30 are local students from Nepal. Out of the 35 students, 20 are in their 2nd year of study and they are going through their 3rd semester now. 15 are 1st year student and they are going through the 1st semester. Each year of study consists of 2 semesters and includes 5 different subjects to study.

Short term course for 3 months on “Sowa Rigpa Therapeutic workshop” was completed by the 22nd of September and on 24th September was the day for the closing ceremony. Students and the staff who are involved in this course have attended on this special event. Alltogether there were 8 students who participated in this course.
